FINAL OUTCOME

I hung the whole piece on an easel with a branch. My first idea was to put it on a chair or hang it with a few strings, but I found that didn't work really well.
I tried to recreate in this knitted piece the texture of the things my grandmother knitted for me and other family members in the winter when I was a child.
I actually didn't like my grandmother's works when I was a child. I thought they were too ugly or too old fashioned, but when I was working on the primer task I suddenly realised that the slightly ugly, imperfect pieces were proof of my grandmother's love for me. My grandmother was willing to put a lot of time and effort into knitting me a jumper, but I didn't feel her love at the time, and I think now that I let her down. I feel guilty and want to pay tribute to her through this piece.
